This beautiful portrait of Queen Maria Amelia de Borbón-Dos Sicilias was painted by Franz Xaver Winterhalter in 1842. It adorns the wall of the Admiral’s room belonging to the Casa de Contratación (House of Contracting) section of the Real Alcázar located in Seville, Spain.
Maria Amelia de Borbón-Dos Sicilias was the princess of the Kingdom of Naples and Sicily and later became queen consort of King Luis Felipe I of France.
