Eastern part of the Alcazaba
The image shows a view of the eastern part of the Alcazaba, as seen from the Torre del Vela on the west side. The two towers on the eastern wall are Torre Quebrada in the middle and Torre del Homenaje to its left. The small semi-circular structure next to Torre del Homenaje is Torre del Cubo.
The area in front of the eastern wall is called Plaza de las Armas. The ruins consisting of the foundation stones that you see in the image belonged to the Barrio Castrense, a Nasrid-era residential area of the Alcazaba consisting of houses for the soldiers and their commanders stationed there.
