Bastion of the Bull at Knossos in Crete, Greece

Bastion of the Bull
The Bastion of the Bull is one of the structures reconstructed at the archaeological site of Knossos located on the island of Crete, Greece. This site belonged to the Minoans, a mysterious culture that thrived in Crete more than 4000 years ago.

Located near the northern entrance, the Bastion of the Bull has the famous Charging Bull fresco engraved on its wall. Sir Arthur Evans, the British archaeologist who excavated the site, used his imagination to reconstructed it and he did so by using modern materials.
