The Borobudur monument is a pyramid-like structure consisting of three main layers that map to the Buddhist concept of three realms that a human being needs to go through to attain enlightenment. These three realms are, Arupadhatu, Rupadhatu, and Kamadhatu.
The top layer, which has three round terraces, maps to Arupadhatu. The middle layer, which has five square terraces, maps to Rupadhatu. The lower layer, which is the courtyard, maps to Kamadhatu.

Borobudur, a UNESCO World Heritage site, is located about 30 miles north of Yogyakarta on the island of Java, Indonesia. It is the largest and one of the most beautiful Buddhist monuments in the world.
